In olden days, mankinds were forced to fight with each other in order to protect their own safety from the others as well as the threat from the nature. When they initially used simple weapons such as rattan and clubs, and later extended to using mouths, hands and feet, bite, grasping and kicking fought for the sake of their own life, family and the whole tribe.

Later, humans tended to living as a group. Since there were different opinions or ideas from various people within a group it was necessary to appoint a leader who can make the final decision of each issue. A leader was expected to a skillful, with superhuman strength in order to assist groups overcome problem from outside enemies. Leaders were elected, they would use birth weapons such as fists, elbows and feet to fight. Thus emerged the art of self-defense, later known as Martial Art.

Muay Thai originated from the ancient battlefield tactics of the Thai army. It assisted the solders to confront enemies and to be victory during war time. In peaceful times, the purpose of training Muay Thai enhanced self-defense techniques in order to get prepare for any sudden attack.

Muay Thai is also known as “science of 8 limbs” simply because it incorporates the use of fists, elbows, shins, feet, and knees to strike the opponent. For this reason, strikes from skilled Thai fighter can be extremely damaging. These damaging strikes make this martial art one of the more brutal martial arts in existence. Muay Thai has been around for more than 2000 years and is basically regarded as the oldest variant of martial arts. For example you weight is 55KG whereas the height is 160m. Then, the BMI is equal to 55÷(1.6x1.6)=21.5.
